Today, Xiaoba wants to talk with car friends about some fresh, hot news. Geely's well-selling Boyue L has recently welcomed its fourth-generation model, and real car photos have already come out. The changes look quite significant, and the official plan is to officially meet everyone in May.

Alright, without further ado, let's first take a look at what has changed in terms of exterior appearance. For this new Boyue L, the front face has the biggest changes. It has switched to a large inverted trapezoidal grille, filled with vertical bars inside, which looks quite imposing.
On top, there is a continuous light strip connecting the flat headlights on both sides that have a somewhat smoked black feel. This design is quite popular now.

The front bumper area is also made quite complex, with a double-layer layout. A black decorative strip runs horizontally across, connecting the T-shaped chrome air intake decorations on both sides, and there is also a trapezoidal lower grille underneath, instantly creating a sense of layering.

Turning to the side, the line contours are basically still the same as before, since this is a major generational change rather than an entirely new model line. However, trendy elements such as a two-tone body and floating roof will certainly not be missing. Paired with large-size wheels, it still looks quite energetic and dynamic.
The changes at the rear are mainly concentrated on the taillights. The continuous shape remains unchanged, but the details of the internal light source have been adjusted, with curved red light strips added, so recognition after lighting up should be higher.

There is also a small detail: the license plate frame position has been moved from the tailgate to the rear bumper. As a result, the entire rear looks more integrated and unified.
Open the door and take a look inside. The interior uses Geely's latest family design language. The first thing you see after sitting in is that large floating central control screen, plus a fully digital instrument panel, and the high trim also has a HUD head-up display. Officially, this is called "three-screen linkage," creating a full sense of technology.

The center console surface is also designed with good layering, using vertical air-conditioning vents, making it look less dull. That exquisite and compact electronic gear shifter is also not missing. The steering wheel is still in the Geely style we are familiar with. The interior color scheme also uses contrasting colors, with a good sense of fashion.

In terms of configuration, functions such as front seat ventilation, heating, massage, and electric memory have all been arranged, quite complete. Add in the 256-color ambient lighting and the 16-speaker Meizu audio system, and the enjoyment inside should not be bad.

Finally, let's talk about power. This car claims to be the world premiere of something called the GEEA 3.0 electronic and electrical architecture. However, we all know that Geely's architecture concept is relatively broad, and many cars with different platform technologies can fit into it, so everyone can just listen to it and not take it too seriously.

From the actual published information, the powertrain is not very different from the current model. It still offers two engines, 1.5T and 2.0T, with maximum horsepower of 181 hp and 218 hp respectively, matched as before with that 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. Therefore, the driving feel is estimated not to differ too obviously from the old model.

In summary, this fourth-generation Boyue L has mainly put effort into design and configuration. The exterior is more aggressive, and the interior's sense of technology and comfort configurations have also improved quite a bit.
The powertrain remains stable, which can also be regarded as a mature and reliable choice. As for how its specific performance will be after it goes on sale in May and whether the market will buy it, Xiaoba is still quite looking forward to it. At that time, I will chat with everyone in detail again. What do you all think?
