Recently, the price war has been so fierce that it's truly dazzling, and even some brands that seemed to have more of a "reserved" image can no longer sit still. Take BMW, for example—it has also started offering "fixed prices," such as on the imported BMW X2.
Strictly speaking, the current generation of the BMW X2 on the market is actually still quite new. It was only launched in February last year, and for an imported car, that update pace is not slow.

When this car first arrived, it had two configurations, with guide prices of 316,900 yuan and 349,900 yuan respectively. But! Here's the key point—now a "fixed price" is being offered directly, and the entry-level version has been slashed to 205,900 yuan! You heard that right, just over 200,000.

To be honest, at this price, you can now buy quite a few mid-to-large SUVs from our domestic brands or new forces, with more space and possibly even better configurations. The sudden price drop of the BMW X2 really makes people think.
Let's take a look at the "heart" of this X2. It uses a 2.0T engine, but in a lower-output version, with a maximum output of 204 horsepower and peak torque of 300 N·m. This powertrain can actually also be seen on the BMW 3 Series, and its performance is quite good.

However, for the transmission, it is paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox rather than the 8AT that BMW fans might expect more. As for this point, it depends on whether one can accept it. Fortunately, the chassis fundamentals are still there, with independent suspension front and rear, and the high-end model also has a four-wheel-drive system.
In addition, it has 4 driving modes and hill descent control, so when dealing with some complex road conditions, such as mountain roads or slippery surfaces, safety and passability are still guaranteed.
In terms of appearance, the BMW X2 follows a relatively pure sporty SUV route. Seen from a distance, it really looks a bit like a scaled-down BMW X6, and it has quite a strong presence.

The front end uses a black grille, with a silver mesh, and the details are quite well done. The signature "angel eyes" headlights, as well as the matrix-layout fog lights, are all there—none of these BMW elements are missing.
Viewed from the side, the 18-inch wheels paired with that sloping rear roofline really give a "little X6" feeling. To reduce wind resistance a bit, the door handles have also been made hidden.

The rear design also follows the family style of BMW's even-numbered SUVs, looking quite substantial and sturdy, and a black sporty rear spoiler has been added. In terms of looks, I think it can quite appeal to young people.

However, I must make it clear to everyone that in terms of dimensions, the BMW X2's length, width, and height are 4558/1845/1594 mm, with a wheelbase of 2692 mm.

It is positioned as a compact imported SUV, so friends with high space requirements may need to think it over carefully. With this budget, there are indeed quite a lot of choices.

As for the interior design, there is a 10.7-inch central control screen that supports mobile phone connectivity, as well as ambient lighting that adds a fair bit of class. The overall layout is relatively refined.

One change is that it has canceled the previous electronic gear lever and replaced it with a more compact gear shifter, which takes some getting used to.

In addition, features such as an organ-style accelerator pedal, 360-degree panoramic camera, and cruise control are all included. However, if you want more advanced adaptive cruise control, you will have to pay extra to option it.

It has to be said that after BMW introduced this "fixed price" for the X2, its cost-effectiveness has indeed improved at once. For friends who have always been fond of the BMW brand and also like this kind of sporty SUV, its appeal has certainly increased quite a bit, and sales are estimated to rise somewhat.

But to say that sales of this car can suddenly advance by leaps and bounds, I, Xiao Ba, think that is not very realistic.

Why? Because at this price point, there are simply too many cars to choose from, especially our domestic cars and new forces—many of them are very competitive in space, power, and intelligent configurations.
Therefore, although the BMW X2 has cut its price, the challenges it faces are still considerable.
