On August 18, the FAW Toyota Crown Vellfire was launched fresh, offering four versions with a price range of 899,000 yuan to 929,000 yuan. This facelift did not make drastic changes, mainly consisting of detailed upgrades to the exterior, interior, and safety configurations.

For the exterior, a new Midnight Black body color has been added, inspired by the pure depth of the polar night. Signature designs such as the fearless shield-shaped front face, three-dimensional chrome front grille, and LED prism dual-layer headlights have been retained. Blacked-out elements and sharp lines make the front face more aggressive and give it a more prominent sporty character.

The interior changes are concentrated on replacing all chrome trim throughout the vehicle with gold-colored trim, extending from the cockpit all the way to the overhead console. The second-row aviation seats feature power Ottoman leg rests, support near-flat reclining, and are fully equipped with ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The 15-speaker JBL audio system, four-zone independent air conditioning, and Nanoe water ion air purification system have all been retained.

In terms of power, it is equipped with a 2.5L intelligent hybrid dual-engine system, matched with E-Four electric four-wheel drive. WLTC combined fuel consumption is 6.3L/100km. Built on the TNGA GA-K platform, the high-rigidity body is paired with frequency-sensitive shock absorbers, and the vehicle's quietness reaches the level of a luxury sedan.

The safety upgrades cover two aspects. The front windshield uses a more breakable glass material to reduce injury to pedestrians' heads in a collision.

The anti-theft module has a built-in independent battery, so the alarm can still be triggered after the main battery is disconnected. The Toyota Pilot intelligent driving assistance system is standard across the entire lineup.

Dada's review:
For an MPV costing nearly 900,000, the facelift approach is very clear: leave the overall framework unchanged and add refinements in the details. The Midnight Black body color and gold trim strips strengthen its youthful orientation, pulling the "business" label somewhat toward "sporty luxury." Pedestrian protection and anti-theft upgrades can be regarded as shoring up shortcomings, and none of the comfort features that the second row should have are missing. With a 2.5L hybrid and 6.3L fuel consumption, it already counts as economical for a vehicle of this size.
