On June 29, He Xiaopeng, Chairman of XPeng Motors, announced on social media that the China debut of the MONA L03, the first SUV in the MONA series, will be officially held on July 2, with pre-sales opening simultaneously. This will be the only launch event for the L03 in China. After completing its China debut, a global launch event and market launch will quickly follow in Europe. Display cars have been arriving at stores across the country starting July 1.
The MONA L03 is positioned as a compact intelligent SUV, with body dimensions of 4650 (4672)/1920/1600mm and a wheelbase of 2850mm. Its exterior continues the MONA family's starship light cluster design, adopts a fastback coupe styling, and has a drag coefficient of only 0.228. It is available in multiple color options including Dark Night Black, Crescent Silver, Aurora Purple, and Dark Plum.

In terms of power, it offers both pure electric and range-extended versions. The pure electric version is equipped with a 183kW motor and has a maximum CLTC range of 650km; the range-extended version is equipped with a 1.5L range extender and a 183kW motor, with a maximum WLTC pure electric range of 257km and a combined range exceeding 1000km.

The cabin is equipped with a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating screen and a 26.8-inch W-HUD, and runs the Dimensity AIOS 6.2.0 system. The entire lineup comes standard with the VLA 2.0 pure vision intelligent driving system.

The new car is developed against 300,000-yuan-class standards, with an expected price range of 130,000-150,000 yuan, targeting the mainstream 100,000-200,000 yuan SUV market. Its main competitors include the BYD Yuan PLUS, GAC AION Y Plus, and others.
Quick comment:
The MONA L03 is indeed moving fast this time—China debut, simultaneous pre-sales, and then immediately a European launch, with very short intervals. The range-extended + pure electric dual-power coverage, 2850mm wheelbase, 650km range, and VLA 2.0 intelligent driving make its on-paper specs quite competitive in the same price range. But competition in the 130,000-150,000 yuan segment is fierce, and whether the MONA brand can hold up at this price point will depend on whether the pre-sale price announced on July 2 shows enough sincerity.
