On September 24, the "Flash Charging China" strategy reached another key milestone as BYD's 2,000th flash charging highway station was officially completed at the Baoying Service Area in Yangzhou, Jiangsu. With this, BYD's annual construction target for flash charging highway stations has been completed ahead of schedule, once again setting three new records among domestic automakers: the largest number of highway charging stations, the fastest construction speed of highway charging stations, and the widest coverage of highway charging stations.

Covering 278 expressways, the "11 vertical and 11 horizontal" highway trunk line network has taken shape
BYD's 2,000th flash charging highway station, located in the Baoying Service Area in Yangzhou, Jiangsu, is a core hub energy replenishment node on the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway. The completion and commissioning of this station marks the full-line opening of flash charging stations along the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway.
Wang Junbao, General Manager of BYD's Flash Charging Business, said that the 2,000 flash charging highway stations cover 278 expressways nationwide, including national expressways, provincial expressways, and metropolitan area ring roads. On 22 of the country's busiest "11 vertical and 11 horizontal" highway trunk lines, including the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway, Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway, Shenyang-Haikou Expressway, and Lianyungang-Horgos Expressway, full flash charging coverage has been achieved.

As of September 24, BYD has built a cumulative total of 11,586 flash charging stations, covering 341 cities. With a layout featuring "full connectivity along highway trunk lines and high-density coverage in cities," BYD has woven a "flash charging network spanning China" with its "thousands of flash charging stations."
Far exceeding the new national standard, the second-generation Blade Battery comprehensively safeguards user safety
BYD has always adhered to the principle that "safety is the greatest luxury," building a full-chain safety system for flash charging. The second-generation Blade Battery passed a bottom impact test at 10 times the new national standard, a thermal diffusion verification at 4 times the new national standard, and even completed the extreme challenge of "puncturing while flash charging" after 500 flash charging cycles, creating the safest battery with stringent standards far exceeding the new national standard.

Moreover, the warranty policy for the second-generation Blade Battery has been further enhanced, with lifetime warranty for battery cells and an overall increase of 2.5% in the battery warranty capacity retention rate, completely eliminating users' safety concerns, making charging faster, travel more reassuring, and journeys more free.
A brand-new highway energy replenishment experience, flash charging makes holiday travel no longer anxiety-inducing
For a long time, slow charging, difficulty finding charging, and long queues on highways have been a major "headache" troubling many new energy vehicle owners during holiday travel. Just as the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays approach, the completion and commissioning of 2,000 flash charging highway stations further densifies the national flash charging network. The ultimate flash charging energy replenishment experience of "charge well in 5 minutes, charge fully in 9 minutes, only 3 minutes more at minus 30°C" means users need not wait to charge. At the same time, BYD has also carefully created multiple distinctive flash charging travel routes, such as the Hexi Corridor, the East China coast, and the Huizhou-style ancient charm route.
Moreover, owners who purchase flash charging models can enjoy one year of free flash charging benefits at flash charging stations nationwide. Combined with the National Day highway toll-free policy, BYD flash charging vehicle owners will experience completely free travel, saving both worry and money.

The completion of the 2,000th flash charging highway station is another landmark milestone in the "Flash Charging China" strategy. BYD will complete the construction target of 20,000 flash charging stations nationwide by the end of 2026, truly realizing "wherever there are roads, there is flash charging." Moreover, BYD is steadily advancing the global layout of flash charging and will build 6,000 flash charging stations overseas, moving from "Flash Charging China" toward "Flash Charging Planet," using technology as the foundation and service as the bridge to help drive the global transition to electric vehicles.
