On October 10, Seres Group and CATL signed a long-term strategic cooperation deepening agreement in Chongqing. Xu Jian, member of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, vice mayor of the municipal government, and secretary of the Party Working Committee of Liangjiang New Area, Zheng Xiangdong, vice mayor of the municipal government, and relevant leaders, Zhang Xinghai, chairman (founder) of Seres Group, and Zeng Yuqun, chairman of CATL, attended together to witness this milestone moment.
According to the agreement, the two parties will deepen strategic cooperation around battery safety, industrial chain coordination, global ecosystem cooperation, and other areas, further consolidating a long-term mutually trusting strategic partnership. The agreement makes clear that CATL will continue to increase investment in Chongqing and further deepen cooperation with Seres, jointly strengthening local industrial coordination in Chongqing, consolidating Chongqing's new energy vehicle industrial chain ecosystem, and helping Chongqing build a trillion-level high-end intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry cluster.
This signing marks that the cooperation between Seres and CATL has entered a brand-new stage. Relying on Chongqing's local industrial advantages and development opportunities, the two parties will continue to deepen their presence in the Chongqing base, accelerate the construction of phase II of the "factory-in-factory" high-end battery pack project at the Seres Super Factory, continue the successful experience of phase I, and continuously deepen intelligent manufacturing and supply chain integration cooperation with extreme collaborative efficiency; the two parties will also further deepen cooperation around supercharging, battery swapping, and battery services, jointly explore innovative paths for the new energy vehicle energy replenishment ecosystem, and at the same time work together to expand into global markets, accelerating the establishment of AITO vehicles as a benchmark brand of China's new luxury intelligent automobiles in markets such as Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia, and providing global users with more convenient and more efficient full-lifecycle battery service experiences.
Since the start of cooperation, Seres and CATL have always adhered to the concepts of long-termism and co-creation of the ecosystem, continuously deepening strategic cooperation in areas such as battery technology research and development, supply chain coordination, and intelligent manufacturing. Since the founding of the AITO brand, all models across its lineup have been equipped with CATL batteries, and cumulative deliveries have exceeded 1.2 million units so far. Taking this as a new starting point, AITO will continue to be equipped with CATL batteries across its full lineup for the long term, continuously expand the breadth and depth of cooperation, and work with ecosystem partners to jointly promote the high-quality development of the new energy vehicle industry.
